Sand Saga Insider: October and November 2025

Hello everyone! October and November were both focused on improving humans, along with adding new missions that take advantage of their (new) abilities. Here is an overview of everything that was added and improved during these two months.

Human Behavior

Until now, humans didn't have anything resembling AI – they just kept walking forward and only changed direction after hitting an obstacle. After the latest update, they can analyze the terrain ahead, avoid falling to death, fire, and hazardous substances. Citizens also steer clear of liquids like oil or blood. If they step on something dangerous, they start to panic and run away at twice their normal speed. Soldiers are less likely to start panic and in the future they will use their weapons against their enemies. Robots don't react to almost anything.

This still isn't the final version. In the future, humans will be even more reactive and more fun to interact with.

New Missions

  • Tutorial: Humans – This tutorial aims to give you the essential basics about humans. How to control them, etc.
  • Mission: Birds! – In this scenario, you play as a soldier who protects an object of interest from aggressive birds.
  • Mission: Robots – In this mission, your task is to safely escort all robots through a dangerous environment to their destination. The robots are not very smart and require you to build a safe path for them.
